Your Live set stays in Ableton
Maestro runs in the cloud. Each run sends your prompt, the session metadata it needs (track names, tempo, key, devices) and run telemetry to Synthia's backend for reliability diagnostics. Optional cloud sample listening sends excerpts and filenames only after you enable it in Settings.

What do I need?
The current desktop beta is for Mac with Apple Silicon and Ableton Live. The Downloads page lists the build and setup instructions. Synthia runs alongside Live and connects through its Remote Script. Support for other DAWs is planned; it is not included in this beta.
What should I try first?
Open a copy of a project. Find a sample, create an editable MIDI variation, or ask for one specific session edit. Tell Synthia which track or clip you mean. The action timeline shows completed and failed operations.
What leaves my computer?
The assistant sends your prompts and relevant project metadata to Synthia and its AI provider. Sample indexing, key and tempo measurements, and local semantic search run on your Mac. Optional cloud sample listening sends audio excerpts and filenames only after you enable it in Settings. Background listening has its own switch and is off by default.
Does it work offline?
The assistant needs an internet connection. Your Live Set and local sample index stay on your computer. Enabling cloud sample listening is separate from using the assistant.
Can Synthia undo a whole conversation?
There is no guaranteed one-click rollback of an assistant run. Ableton’s edit history also contains your manual changes. Review changes in Live and use its Undo deliberately. Synthia asks for confirmation before deleting tracks or clips, clearing notes, or saving your project.
What does the free plan include?
Start with the free plan and its included assistant runs. The Pricing page shows current allowances and paid options. Founders is a one-time purchase with a monthly fair-use allowance, not unmetered cloud computing.
Can I use my work commercially?
Synthia works with your project and the sounds you provide. The licences for your samples, presets and other source material still apply. Check those licences for your intended release.
